Mozilla Firefox will allow users to delete their collected data thanks to California’s new privacy law. This change came because of the California Consumer Privacy Act or CCPA, which went into effect on Wednesday. This new law gives the residents of California the right to know what personal data tech companies collect. Also, it gives the right to ask them to delete it and not sell it.
But Mozilla will apply this to every user and not only for the ones in California. As they announced on a blog post made on Tuesday that they will give their users the option to delete their data on the next version of Firefox, which is coming on January 7.
